TRACE is the first singing contest of its kind, where contestants can win by calling into the Airtel Trace Stars short code 533 and recording their song on the phone call.

Unlike other music discovery competitions, Airtel Trace Music Stars (ATMS) does not go through the regular auditioning and screening processes which often will result with potential stars traveling across towns to a single location to be auditioned. With ATMS, all potential stars need to do is to be Airtel customers and then call into 533 to stand a chance to be discovered. No long things.

To enter the competition, call the Airtel TRACE Stars number 533 (only from an Airtel number) between the 8th October 2014 and 10th December 2014. It costs 50 Gp per min to participate and 20 Gp per SMS to vote.

There is a local cash prize of Ghc50,000 for the local winner. The grand prize for the Pan-African contest comprises of:
1. A recording contract with Universal music
2. A trip to the US to be mentored by an A list American Music Celebrity Production of their own music video
